Iran Poses Grave Threat to Security and Stability of the Region and Arab Countries

Doha, Feb. 21, 2017. Arab Parliament Speaker Dr. Mshaal bin Fahm Al-Salami said that the Iranian regime poses a grave threat to national Arab security, citing Iran's continual occupation of three UAE islands, interference in domestic affairs of the Arab countries, spread of sectarian strife, formation of armed militias, and issuance of hostile statements against the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Yemen.
In the opening address at the international conference on human rights in Doha, delivered on behalf of him by Adel Al-Asoumi, a delegate of the Arab parliament to the conference, during his participation in the two-day event, according to Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister also said Iranian regime is the main sponsor of terrorism in the world, a destabilizing force in the Middle East and wanted to “destroy us,” Gulf News reported on Monday.
“Iran remains the single main sponsor of terrorism in the world,” Adel Al Jubeir told delegates at the Munich Security Conference. “It’s determined to upend the order in Middle East ... (and) until and unless Iran changes its behavior it would be very difficult to deal with a country like this.”
Al Jubeir said Iran's regime was propping up the regime of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, funding Al Houthi separatists in Yemen and violent groups across the region. He said the international community needed to set clear “red lines” to halt Tehran’s actions.
In addition to abovementioned statements and in response to the Iranian regime's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif’s recent calls for a regional dialogue in the Arabian Gulf. UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash said on Twitter: “For the dialogue to be serious and away from propaganda, Tehran must stop interfering in the internal affairs of its neighbors.”
